The Mississippi Mills Chamber of
Commerce serves as an association of individuals and businesses that promote and maintain a strong local economy and high quality of life. The newly created Town of Mississippi Mills is comprised of the former town of Almonte (now Almonte Ward), Ramsay Township (Ramsay Ward) and the Village and Township of Pakenham (now Pakenham Ward).

05/09/2008, Fibre Fest takes place Sept. 5-8
The Mississippi Valley Textile Museum’s highly anticipated Fibrefest is returning for its 13th annual event on the evening of September 5th and full days on the 6th & 7th, 2008 at the North Lanark Agricultural Hall and the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum (MVTM). At both locations we will be featuring fibre art vendors, demonstrations, a quilt exhibit and a textile appraisal Fair two full-day festival of the fibre arts! Two exciting sites for one admission fee!

18/07/2008, NLAS FAIR CELEBRATES 150 YEARS!!
The July 18-20, 2008 will be the 150th Almonte fair. Started as a one day fair on Boyd's farm just outside of Almonte it has grown to 3 days with thousands of visitors each year. On the Sunday July 13th the week long celebration of the 150th fair will begin with the RCMP Musical Ride and the Bowes Brothers.
