Scott McLellan
Currently, Scott McLellan serves on an array of boards and organizations, amongst others the Almonte Fair and the Community and Economic Development Committee of the Town of Mississippi Mills (CEDC).
Scott is the former president and chief executive officer of Icinergy Software, an Ottawa-based spin-off of EDAConnect.com.
Previous to Icinergy he held the same positions with Javelin EDA, an Ottawa startup developing automatic placement technology for ICs and pc-boards. During his tenure, Javelin was purchased by EDAConnect.com.
Before his stint with Javelin, Scott was president and CEO of Unicad, a pc-board analysis company which was acquired by CCT prior to CCT's purchase by Cadence Design Systems Inc.
Like much of Ottawa's tech community, he also once worked at Ottawa-based Nortel.
Both his background and his current commitments - particularly CEDC - give Scott an ideal vantange point for his presentation at the Mixer on May 20, titled "Economic Development Opportunities in Mississippi Mills".
