Volunteers
The Mississippi Mills Chamber of Commerce serves as an association of individuals and businesses that promote and maintain a strong local economy and high quality of life. The newly created Town of Mississippi Mills is comprised of the former town of Almonte (now Almonte Ward), Ramsay Township (Ramsay Ward) and the Village and Township of Pakenham (now Pakenham Ward). This area also includes the hamlets of Appleton, Blakeney and Clayton. We currently hold memberships of over 115 retail, commercial and tourist related businesses. Our successes are primarily achieved by our members volunteering their time, skills and financial support.
With such a vast region, we can incorporate the many talents, expertise and knowledge that this area has to offer. The area is rich in arts and culture and has an active business sector that strives to make this community what it is today.
Geographically, we are located west of Kanata and a 20-minute drive from the City of Ottawa. With the expanding technology sector in our community, the Town of Mississippi Mills has all the capabilities for high-speed access through Lanark Communications Network. The Chamber invites all businesses considering locating to our community to contact us for more information.
